SRC Member iskay Posted December 14, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted December 14, 2010 this is a potter's angel with a blue colour morph. also known as the blue potter's angel. very nice... good addition to my tank lacking blue. 1 Quote "Be formless... shapeless, like water. Senior Reefer yikai Posted December 14, 2010 Author Senior Reefer Share Posted December 14, 2010 very nice... good addition to my tank lacking blue. so far only one has been found and it is unknown if the colours can be sustained in the aquarium. most of the time such aberrations fade back to normal in our tanks. Digiman
Pseudanthias ignitus? Correct! It's the ignitus Anthias. Ignitus and Dispar are v similar. But some tell tale signs of ignitus are Purple eye, red "forked" appearance to the tail, yellow lower half of the back end of the dorsal fin and for alpha males, a little red dot on the pectoral fins. But of course the easiest way to tell ignitus or dispar is to ask the price. $5 u are buying dispar, $35 and u are buying Ignitus! So next time when the LFS qoute u $35 for a dispar looking fish dun think they are trying to con u, cos u maybe looking at the rarer and more expensive ignitus anthias! Now left lemon's wrasse.
