Hi All,

Based on wht I read, the following are wht I've gathered with regards to care for the softies.

- Cloves

Lighting:Moderate

Temp: 22-25 Degree

Flow: Low - Moderate

Feeding: Not required, photosynthetic

Supplement: Iodine, Strontium

Ph: 8.1-8.3

- GSP

Lighting:Low

Temp: 23-27 Degree

Flow: Low

Feeding: Not Required, photosynthetic

- Xenia

Lighting: Moderate to High

Temp: 22-27 Degree

Current: Moderate. Though some have recommended high flow. Frm wht I gather, would pulse more if not placed in high areas

Feeding: Not required, photosynthetic

Supplement: Iodine

Ph: 8.2-8.3

Sorry! Not sure if I shld be posting here or at Tank Setup. I'm new and planning to keep above softies in my 3ft tank. Would appreciate if the experts can advice on the following:

- Proximity of placement: How far should I place above softies frm each other? I read that GSP can grow real fast and may encroach on it's neighbour. Is that true?

- If the following setup is sufficent: 4 tubes of 39W T5, probably 1 MP40 and temp ard 27 (Can Clove thrive around 27 degree or do it has to be max ard 25 degree?)

- If there's anything else I shld take note of, would appreciate further advice.

Thanks,

Oceania

Basically, Softies are quite hardy but cloves and GSPs will normally closed for a period of time when added to the tank and it will require good water parameter to prevent algae from growing on their stalk...

Temperature will not need to go down to 25 deg... 26-27 deg would be sufficient..

Ok thanks!

With regard to placement, softies should be placed btw mid-high levels where flow is better? Therefore it's better to have a flatter rock scape?

For those you mention, They will do well in moderate flow... Doesnt really require flat rockscape...

Bro, do note that GSP color (especially luminous ones) will fade with insufficient lighting.
