hello may i know how can i keep the colour of the zoa or get thier colour back?

put to a higher place where more light can blast it.

feed more coral food~

observe it for one week and see whether the zoas colour is "darker" or closer to the colour, if it is leave it at the last place you put.

its in the mid of my tank and ive 2 150w so lighting should be enough i think.

can the reason for my zoa to lose their colour due to v strong lighting ? or not feeding coral food?

able to snap a pic of the zoas that is losing colour? easier to see what's wrong with it.

150W MH should be more then enough at mid level.

do you dose coral food everyday? if you are dosing everyday and the zoas is opening, they will be able to feed it (if you feed the coral food according to your tank volume).

i just started to dose coral food 2 or 3 days ago. is it a must to dose coral food to mantian it's colour?

zoas need light and coral food to make it big and healthy! try dosing everyday and see whether the colour improves,try to shift it more to the sand bed to acclmise the zoas to your MH lighting.. try a few position

thanks for the info, didnt know zoa needs coral food besides good lighting.

ive already placed them on top, mid and bottom to see which is best already..

so i'm kind of banking on the coral food, hope it works !

if my zoa get back their colours i will give you some! but i think all the colours i have you should have already. haha

You could also consider dosing Potassium iodide. Basically, Iodine solution. I find that it helps with the coloration of zoas. Yep!

The better way to let the zoas get their color back is to dose Vitamin C... But den actually it depends if the browning is cause by bad lighting or lack of minerals... But if under 150w, I would recommend mid level or on sand bed... I dunno how much zoas feed on food but it is worth a try... Iodine also works well...

if it gets big enough, u can feed on mysis. as i do to some of my zoas..

after dosing food for around 2weeks colours still the same. i will try what you have advice and wait for the results! =p

not all zoas need too much light.

turning brown may mean they r getting too much light as well.

if you feed the kind of coral food that is suitable and needed by the particular coral it will bring the colour back.

vitamins may help but will also bring in alot more issue if you are unable to monitor and handle algae issue.

is zoas the only problem u have so far? maybe parameters or temp are in correct.

photoperiod also play a big part.
