button coral

i have a button coral, which has its mouth opened until very big all day. I've been dosing phytoplankton and trace elements faithfully. can someone advise me on what to do? is it dying?

If the flesh start to receed, then it is dying

Was the mouth open when you see it at the LFS?

I would recommend that you stop dosing the trace element faithfully. It contains trace amounts of heavy metals that are poisionous in just slightly higher concentrations. If you keep adding them blindly, they will build up over time.

Assuming that there is nothing wrong with water parameters and light requirement, you can only wait and see.
