Greywolf
Bros, I just wane find out if any of you are finding success with the use of the NPBiopellets. R they that effective that we could stop using Sorb4 phosphate removal media. I know they function differently but I just want to find out if I could stop using Sorb4 altogether if I start to use the NP Biopellets. Any comments or experience to share ? Thanks. Guest
i am running both together, since i find that the NP pallet take care more of the Nitrate than the Phosphate.. You will still need some way to remove the P04 , unless your tank stocking is really low.
SRC Member mopiko Posted November 16, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted November 16, 2010 i'm running aqua medic denni balls. what's the difference between denni balls and NP pellets? can run both together?
Guest
if you are running a de-nitrator with deni ball, you need to feed the bacteria with food in order for it to work .Whereas for the NP pallets , you dont need to feed anything in order for it to work. It is mainly a carbon source to reduce the Nitrate and Phosphate when the pallet melt, similar to dosing Voka in your system. I think shouldnt be a problem to run both together.
