mach4_9
Hi guys I've just bought a Hailea 150 chiller to cool down my 3 2 2 tank. Water is being "t-Ed" off my return pump which is rio 26hf. However, it takes 2 to 3hrs to lower temp from 28.5 to 27. Is it normal or is my chiller too small? If it's too small, is there any cost effective way to solve the problem? Thanks you guys. SRC Member onizukaa Posted October 31, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted October 31, 2010 try to run another pump with lower flowrate as a feeder pump for the chiller and see whether it works. also, when you buy the chiller, is it brand new? try to send it for servicing also, but 1/10 for your 3 feet tank if with sump abit under power. mach4_9
It's brand new, only 3 days old. I will try a different feeder pump, how high is an ideal flow rate? Yes my tank is using with a sump.

mach4_9
Yes bro, I got the flowrate correct. So that means the only way is to get a bigger chiller? No other solution? Anyone wants to swop with me?
