1w per led where got high? Normal range in my opinion. Important is at what par it is emitting.

just got this led light from vincent, high1watt 4x white led...great for nano like mine<12gallon jbj> . For light intensity...ok. But too bad there's no blue light nevertheless great electricity savings!!!!!

Whether is nano or big tank 1 watt led cannot keep any thing.

You need at least 3 watt led to keep any lift stock alive

1 watt is good for lighting up your sump cabinet or closet

. Bro, the mini is not 1 watt. I just bought one for my 1 feet cube. Very very bright. For 4 led, total is 9 watt. Each led is 3 watt but think only drive to 2.25 watt each. I even manage to keep all my Lps quite well. All coral look very healthy

just bought the 2blue-2white mini from madpetz

thought there was a very slight tint of yellow from the demo set at madpetz showroom though it is 2b-2w

but what a surprise when i placed my new mini over my tank and switch it on

cool white color looks just nice even with a slight tint of blue-ish

only "problem" is the shimmering kinda strong... a bit headache

If you want the actinic blue effect you need LED of 400 to 420 nm

6.5 * 2 * 2 + 3.75 * 1.5 *1.5,(Decomn on 14/9/08)

for my small tank I guess 1 x 3W led more than enough

currently using SLT blue led after lumenaqua mini is off ... limegreen yuma turns yellow color

Hi William,

Light spectrum varies from infra red to ultra violet.

Light is measure in nm.

400 is near to UV spectrum and almost the last visible light in the light spectrum.(human eyes)

Anything below 400 nm is invisble to our human vision

But other animal like birds can see.
