What I did was to cut off my CO2 when the light is off bec there is a great chance that your PH in the tank may drop drastically bec of CO2. Had that experience recently bec of my own neglect of not measuring PH at all - drop to 7.6!

Aqumedic recommended very strongly of having a PH controller connected to your solenoid - but then again too expensive lah!
