Can some1 advice which brand n model of wavemaker to use on my 4x2.5x2.5?

Will wanna get something whereby 1 will do the job.(dun intend to put more than 1 in tank)

Previously on sunsun 6000l/h wavemaker.

Then seems like not enough so got a 12000l/h wan.

Still...i find that it doesn't have those X effect i looking for.

Unlikely one can do the job unless u are talking abt circulate in one direction. Maybe u want elaborate yr "x factor"? Displacement of water used to come from wavebox but now same wave makers can do the job but u definitely need more than one unless u can compliment with yr return but not easy.

I wan those effect whereby there's seems to be a strong current then they fishes tends to pause in it's position.

Can tell it's fighting against the current or something like that.

If u get a 10,500 l for return, it is possible but then u have to consider sandless, no softies and lps as the current is likely too strong. Maybe u can get wave maker above 12000 l if yr sump and design can't take high return pump.

normally just a wavemaker (tunze 6060)will be enough for tangs to play with

i got a sohal / unicorn and other tangs swimming against the current at night mostly playing against the current

Great! Wats the litres per hour?

Wats the damage? Where to get cheap?

you can get it 2nd hand in pasar malam, i have sold mine else can let it to you.

however it's really up to the fish whether they would like to play with the current produced by the wavemaker, not getting the same model wil let the fish swim, it still depends on the fish :chair:

6000litres per hour

for return pump I insist on using eheim leh but seems like the biggest they produce is 1264.

I will not consider other brand due to reliability issue

6000litres per hour is strong enough for the 5 inch tang to enjoy swimming already (for my case).

hope you get the wavemaker and enjoy seeing the fishes swimming hehe

ic. So meaning u wun recommend me going for anything more than that?(6000l/h)

anyway the biggest tunze available is?

Any fish that swims infront of wave maker will encounter resistance but the question is how far u want this to last. Chk with sps lover and see wat wavemakers they use for their tank, if u are worried, get controllable one. Tunze high flow is above 10k l. Vortec also coming out mp60, one level up from existing mp40. Go sponsor site to get more details.

As for how far I would say must at least blow up to half or more of my tank's length.

those wavemaker you get just "circulate" the water.

let us know your x factor that you are refering to

hi.when u mean circulate does it mean from bottom to top and top to bottom in a cycle? in this case there should not be any diatoms or particles build up at the sand bed right?

Yes! By right.

A well circulate water shouldn't have any dead spot...
