Filter Sock

why does my filter sock already overflow just after 2weeks of using it? Anyone can advise? Tqvm

hi bro

2 weeks is too long, i usually clean mine after a week. filter socks are very fine in microns so will trap the dirts and got clog easily.

if you are using the felt materials socks, wash and soak in water and bleach over night. wash away the bleach and sun dry it. best to get a few socks so you can rotate while the ones are out in the sun.

2 weeks is too long. I wash mine every 2-3 days.

Ya...2 weeks is way too long. Normal cases that i've seens are basically 2 to 3 days

If leave more than a week, the dirt trap in the filter socks will cause the nitrate level to rise. Do change regularly. I have 4, and I rotate them every 2 to 3 weeks. At least 2 weeks to dry in the sun to let the chlorine bleach disappear.

Izzit on the output of a skimmer?
