Sump tank setup

Helllo again, can anyone show me how does your sump setup look like?

cause i think i miss a step or two during the cycling part so now not very confident with me sump setup, would like something i can refer to.

i fill tank up with salt, sand and added LR. Then i waited for 3weeks after that i added two clown fish. but after going thru a few threads i see alot of ppl throwing in dead prawn when cycling and they mostly use DSB or MM?

Currently my sump has only one over size skimmer, filter and quite a bit of biohomme which i feel like its not enough.

Just go to aquamarin website or tank thread to look through for reference.

Tank : 4 X 2 X 2 with low iron front panel and external overflow

Skimmer : BK SM200 with waste collector

Return Pumps : Red Dragon 6m3 and Ehiem 1262

FR : 2 X Deltec 509 & powered by AB2000

Nitrate Filter : Deltec NF 509 and tee off from AB2000

Calcium R'tor : Deltec PF 501 with RM secondary chamber

Kalkwasser R'tor : Deltec KM500

Chiller : Pansonic 1 HP Compressor with 20m titanium Coil

Wave Makers : 4 X Tunze 6055 with 7096 & Vortec MP40w

Controller : GHL Profilux

Lighting : ATI Powermodule 10 or 8 tubes

Water Top-up : Water Top-Up tank powered by Tunze Osmolator

External Monitor : American Pinpoint pH and Temp. Monitor for main tank and GHL Profilux Controller to measure temp, pH, Redox

Ozonizer : Sander C50

UV : Corallife 6x

You can maybe provide some picture on your current sump.....

Then you may have some comments.

Tank : 3 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup end Feb 2014 ) --> 4 x 2 x 1.8 ( setup early Nov 2016 )
Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC6 --> Bubble Magus Curve 7
Return pump : Jebao 10000l/h ( down in 17th December 2014 ) --> Jebao DC-12000 ( 19th December 2014 )
Compressor drop-in coil
Wavemaker : Tunze 6105 x 1
Lights : Modular based DIY LED light x 4

Different people have different sump tank,size also different...

It's best if u let the expert here know what livestock u gonna keep then from there they advise u.

Some1 doesn't 1 2 do anything find an excuse,some1 1 2 do something find a mean!

yr sump has limited space for DSB. If you want, apart from using algae scrubber, you can add biohome or similar bacteria house in yr sump.
