hey guys, cant seem to find peppermint shrimp anywhere at the west side, even took mrt the iwarana also dont have. =( anyway i think something is wrong with my zoas. it kind of grow a hole? could it be the person didnt glue properly? i got it at CF.

anyone know whats happening? water no good? pest? but how come e other zoa from Terry no problem still open big big?

btw the 2nd last picture is how it used to look like.

Hmmm... I dun see any pests but normally closed half way is a sign of pest, either nudi or zoas spider... Is the zoas detacting from the rock...

yes i guess its detacting from the rock.. how to get rid of the pest?

One way is to freshwater dip it and shake it until the nudi drop off... but with the detaching polyps, all the polyps might fall off too... I can only recommend you to stick the dropping polyps into seperate frag if you want to save some of the colony...

i spend the whole night scanning thru and found this on my zoa.

caught the worm thingy got too happy and totally forgot about e 2nd one and throw it back into the tank.

i guess i gotta get that zoa protector fish. haha

Ya, it is zoas predator Nudibranch.. Probably try CoralRX dip first.. the faster solution....

amphipods, is safe and benefits to our tank, uses to classified under zoas irritator on some website, but song no significant damage to me..Pros more than cons.. :)

Bro, What string thingy, may I ask? Brown color ones?? If it is brown color, it might be due to stress... Let us know the condition it is in now?

If it is bristleworms then it is fine to leave them in the tank, they are scavengers so they dun pose a threat to your livestocks but if it is bobbit worm den it is better to catch it out..

Anyway, crabs I would just crush them with my chopstick when they retreat into the hole... LOL..

What is the best way to get rid of bristleworms I have quite a fue of them and would like to get rid of as minny as posible. Kawia

You may want to get yellow wrasses to control the nudis.
