SRC Member hijackng Posted September 13, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted September 13, 2010 Beginning of Aug I adopted a reef tank at Tampines. My responsibility as a adopted owner is rock scaping, purchase/placement of coral (my favourate part. lol) and planning the maintenance... It is a jbj 28gallon nano cube CF Quad bought at a offer price from Petmart. The tank come with a wooden stand, a 105w PL light, 4 led moon light, 2x cooling fan for lighting, 2x 1000L return pump running on jbj wavemaker controller, Internal filtration compartment. Add on with a single fan to cool water temp to 27 deg, DIY led moonlight from Sim Lim Tower, Boyu nano skimmer (may need to upgrade). Filtration is active charcoal and biohome. May add in Rowaphos later. Initial scaping last month.
SRC Member hijackng Posted September 13, 2010 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 13, 2010 Mid Aug.. after two messive water change. Owner cant wait and keep pestering me to add some colours... lol The orange monti plate was intentionally added in to monitor the water condition. I advise the owner to monitor the colour of the monti... orange = good, brown = no good. easy right? no need to explain wat is no3, po4... etc.

SRC Member hijackng Posted September 13, 2010 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 13, 2010 owner very fussy... keep complaining about the rock scape only look nice on two side (front and right).. so today, make a rescape on the tank and add in some coral since the orange monti still look orange. Luv this the cave on the right... Finally, owner is happy with the scaping on the left side ... phew... Picture right after water change...
