problem there is like a waterfall before it is overflowed ... thats why thought of dursol pipe to raise the height but have not idea how to measure the pipe size and how to make the dursol pipe to fit in the tank =(

Possible to post pics of how your overflow work etc then from there we'll be more easy to advise n suggest on how to solve your problem.

Another way is the direct the flow to flow down on the glass...

try add end cap at one side with small hole and sponge on it... And keep open on the other end... it should work...

bro dun get you btw its your friends tank do you recall whats the diameter of his overflow pipe?and can it hand a return of OR6500 or AB5000??please advice thanks^^

Not sure about his tank pipe diameter and pipe structure.. probably snap a picture show here... I remember his tank with side overflow only...

What I mean previous post is shown pics below.. It should reduce your water flow noise level.. Sponge itself doesn't help 100%.. you can add the end cap with hole... to control the water pressure relief.. Therefore, the overflow pitching noise can be eliminated..

You can also consider putting Bio balls in your overflow compartment . This will greatly reduce the noise from the overflow.
