Anyone used biohome before?

I advocate using this product, it is neat and compact. I've never had any problems with nitrates after using it. Of course you also need sensible stocking levels. :)

IMO, just get the normal ones, the red ones used for startups are not worth the additional $$.

used 3kg of biohome for office setup & "brick" LR for home sump

imo brick LR is better as they are a lot cheaper and tons of beneficial critters will grow on it

biohome, on the other hand, is useful if you have space constraint

wa bro your sump how big sia.... cause i see your tank size almost the same as mine plus i cant fit the apf851 thats why got apf600 then you can still a brick in dam cool ^^ *jealous*

sump is 3x2x2 but water fill up to 1 feet only

1st compartment wool & 2x1x1 of brick LR

2nd compartment refugim(chaeto) & skimmer return

3rd compartment 2 x 1262, 1 to skimmer & return, 1 to chiller & pump up to DT

my skimmer outsump, behind the tank

chiller in front of the tank

kinda messy :(
