Hi all,

Can a 160w model penetrate 2.5ft depth?

My tank will be a 2x2x2.5 Planning to keep some SPS at the upper levels of the tank. I currently have a 110w model, will probably use it as supplement.

That will depend what you like to keep inside your tank. Prehapes you can consider placing those non-photosynsis corals at the lower sand bed and those corals which required moderate lighting at the center and SPS on top of all those.

Hi Yes that is what i intend to do. So that means a 160W should be good enough right?

Still deciding on keeping the 110W as supplement or using T5s..
