micro tank 7x7x6 inch

hi all, my friend wants to convert his fresh water micro cube 7inch x 7 x 6inch (height) to marine, 1.2gallon.

can it be done?

is there a protein skimmer for such a tank?

1 fish, 1 coral tank?

Its even smaller than an IQ3... not advisable, esp for someone who is new to reef keeping. Do note that it's harder to keep stable perimeters with small tanks. Why not go for something bigger?

Not recommended.. The swing in parameter will be quite high and it is difficult to maintain it.. There is no way for equipments to sustain this tank size.. Have to do daily maintainance...

hey tks for your contributions. Yes u r right. i brought his tank to the shop, n i couldnt get the skimmer to fit into this minute cube.

So, now posting at pasar malam to buy a 1.5ft cube. tks

for a tank this small, there is no equipment to fit inside, so a water change is the only way to do maintenance, if not, then have a sump big enough to fit all equipment, (which is larger than the "show tank") and then it will work. But it does defeat the point here.
