IMOH super disgusting. I got rid of all the giant bristle and left the smaller ones alone.

The white/orange pieces are market prawn that is used to cycle the tank. Put in too many end and the water starts to be smelly and seachem ammonia alert is on alert so I removed a few pcs and left some in the tank.

Hopefully cycling can be over soon with the livesand from maxima.

I put in 3 pc but after 2 days still nothing happen, no smell, ammonia alert "sleeping".

Then I dump in many pcs and the next day ammonia alert "wake up" and water turns smelly. Now left about 4-5 pcs in the tank, they are about 1cm size, not too big. I think still lesser meat compared to one big prawn.

actually my main intention was to catch those crabs, I soak the LR in saltwater with salinty of 1.030 for one min and look for the crab, those bristle worms just pop out like that, so I just pick them out with the tweester.

weileong,

wat you have mentioned is part of Curing, right?

dont't this kill other organism in the rock?

cheers.

Hihi I wud suggest just leave everything as it is n wait for the cycle to finish. Nature will take care of it. Leave the carbs in n some will die off as part of the cycling process.

Patience is the key. Try not to jump the gun as many will do.

Once the cycle is complete, u 'll hv years of Bliss n enjoyment (with some frustration thrown in of course haha).

Main Tank : 48 inch by 36 inch by 28 inch (2 sides starphire glass)
Sump Tank :
Return Pump :
Chiller : Starmax Compressor 1 HP Drop coil
Chiller Return Pump
Protein Skimmer :
Wave Maker :
Fluidised Reactor :

i think the crabs will not die .... they feed on the coraline algae and other dead things .... and the grow bigger .... seen dead ones thot they were dead but its only their empty skin .... meaning they are getting bigger and bigger ..... damn crabs .....
