Hi bro....

How do you mod it to 6045?

This is how to modify a tunze nano stream.

This mode will make your Nano stream flow rate at around 1300gph. Their is little to no difference between a modified 6025 and 6045, they both use the same motor. I modified both and saw no difference. So you can save money and just buy the 6025 and modify it.

I also wanted to let everyone know that the 6045 does not produce 1295gph. It is more around 900gph.

The basic idea of this mod is to allow the pump to pull in more water.

1. Remove the cover off of the Tunze powerhead.

2. Remove the inside flange piece. You can either dremel it off or snap it off with pliers.

3. Now your going to need a dremel. You will want to cut every other slit on the screen.

The final product will look like this:

If you do the same for your 6055, you get a 6060

Now you are finished with your mod to the nanostream!

Optional:

You can make the flow pattern wider. I do not like this mod though because everytime I did it on a nanostream it will start in reverse and you'll have to put your hand over the powerhead to have it spin the other way.

Wide Flow Mod:

Any questions please feel free to PM me or ask here. Thanks
