No2 in tapwater?

Hi all!

I have been advised to change the water in my tank as my no2 level is around 0.5mg/L... however, when i test the tapwater to be used for mixing with salt, the tapwater also got no2 leh... i'm confused liao...

izit true dat tapwater has no2? or my testkit got problem??

Moving this out from pasar malam. ;)

Tap water has NO3 ard 0.5-0.15max as listed by PUB

mine comes from choa chu kang waterworks and reads abt 3ppm NO3 (with a salifert kit).

No mention of NO2 and it may come along the way in the pipework or storage tanks, but anyway once your filtration is established- NO2 should not be measurable so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Results does depends on the test kit brand.
