Hi Michael,

The G1 controller are the same with the G2. Its able to control the white and blue led and set at different timing. Only difference is that the G1 doesnt come with moonlight.

If im not wrong, yes as this is the newer version. Only the first generation are without the socket

the light set is 40cm lonng. can b use for 1.5ft, 2ft and even 2.5ft tank but with some blind spot at each side.....
