Pls help ID fish

Hey bros/sis!

Need help to id this fish, it's pale purple colour base with bright solid yellow strip running across the body, bout 2.5", it's eye pupil resembles that of an side way almond.

Is it some kind of cardinal? can't seem to find much bout it thanks :)

Pentapodus emeryii, Very peaceful species... Can keep in groups..

It's common name is double whiptail bream...

hey there bro fatbike! wow what r the odds, haha, hmm I was told it's banana fish also.. maybe tt's the trade name tt LFS uses, haha. hmm looking at the 2nd pic.. i do feel like BBQing tt fish if it's tt big. haha :chair: oops. haha. did u get it from Ah beng also?

haha, din really get dis at pasir ris, happened to pass by yishun on their shipment day sometime last month, den was told dat oni cost nice colour, CUTE NAME, so i bot it, haha, end up its the most striking fish i have, oops, btw i oni got 2 tangs & dis BANANA, :chair::chair: haha

took the risk though, cos when

i ask" boss, is this reef safe?

he say "er not sure"

den i ask again"agressive?"

They wun grow so big in tanks... The largest recorded is 20cm.. But very rarely...
