lineatus and rhomboid

yes you can mix them together.

do note that rhomboids are very peaceful, while lineatus are quite boisterous when big and acclimated to the tank.

preferably to mix them in a 3ft tank and above. occasional chasing and flashing but remove them when it gets too terrible until one of them hides and do not dare to come out.

once a fairy wrasse hides from aggression, it is difficult to let them regain confidence enough to come out of hiding.

and a hood is mandatory, lest you want to come home to a crispy wrasse on your floor.

ok actually i got this problem now.

my rhomboid swims upside down and has torn fins.

like something is bitting it but i cant seem to be able to pin point.

the lineatus is the one that got closest to it. but then it did not bite it.

they are in a 5ft tank. the lineatus is slightly bigger.

the rhomboid is still coming out to feed and swim around.

this problem only happened after i introduce the lineatus.

other fishes in the tank include a sohal, yellow tang, 2 black clowns, ,peppermint shrimps, cleaner shrimps and several blennies and gobies.

i am guessing its either the lineatus or the black clowns.

yeap... any idea whats wrong?

how often does it happen and what's the duration of it's swimming upside down?

sounds to me like swim bladder problems or internal problems which is very common in rhomboids and lineatus. they will feed but soon after, stop feeding and die.

hope yours is not the case.

almost all the time. its like having problems staying straight up. often it will just "float" around with the current.

any medication or any thing i can do to save this poor fish?

Try feeding prazi soaked food since the fish is eating. Hopefully it heals, internal problem is v hard to cure most of the times.
