Ehiem return pump

Hi,would like to ask if I seldom use my ehiem return pump will it spoil?

Coz intend to use to mix saltmix in my 200l water drum when I want to do water change. Meaning after salt dissolves in water n once done with water change,I will keep n wait till next use.

Say if it's used once every 2weeks,how should I keep it?

Soak it in water? Or just keep normally after rinse?

Try to use wavemaker/air bubble (after mixing it with stick till no residue) to salt mix instead of return pump.

unless you wanna use the return pump to pump water into the tank to do water change is fine.

To maintain you can:

1) Rinse the return pump with tap water and take out impellar to rinse it if you want.

2) After you see residue stained on the return pump,you can soak it in vinegar + water for 1 day and brush it off.

Thanks bro... Yes... Wanna use it to pump water into main tank. Coz wavemaker n return pump circulate water but wavemaker only got 1 use where as return pump still can use to pump water into tank.

So basically so simply to maintain la?
