so sad to hear about your golden angel, dnsfpl!

hope it recovers soon.

looks like this fish is just relentless. it just wants to create problems even when it's healthy and feeding on pellets.

to me it looks like hole in the head.

if you are sure its not diet and environment problem, you should try octozin which stated to get rid of hexamita. a parasite that cause HLLE on the outside.

all the best.

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

that's the problem with sensitive angels like golden, colini, venustus, multibar, rock beauty and bandit.

they respond very poorly to treatment and will go on a feeding strike during this period. The bad news is, you will need to re-train it to feed all over again even after removing them from the medication. these are very delicate fishes and you cannot stress them too long by treating them.

these fish are usually not given QT treatment because they cannot stand being in bare tanks with medication.

the best form of treatment for these fishes are hyposalinity. it's the least stressful for them and they will still continue feeding. but hyposalinity is not a good treatment method for non-feeding classes of sensitive angels. liverock and macroalgae cannot be offered during hypo and being in a bare tank, they will slowly starve.

that's why these fishes are so tricky. i wish you all the best!

i guess its over, couldnt locate it today

should be below the rocks

btw did i make a wrong move by treating the water with API Fungus Cure™ Powder?

will it fight its way if left untreated?

from my observation, the white dot nearly double its size

and became a lot whiter

that is when i decide to make a move

no more golden angel for the time being

RIP

If the white dot is increasing in size rapidly then I believe the outcome will still be the same. You have tried your best. This angel and many others like it should be left in the ocean. The supply will only stop if the demand stop. The only way to stop lfs from importing these fish is to stop buying them. Very hard I know but we must try to resist.

Which is why some time "Preventation is Better than cure", i soak my Henry's foods with Praziquantel once every two day before feeding my fish, as well as soaking it with gallic and Kent Zoe to boost the fish Immue system.

Funny though why my Queen angel seem to "Shake it's head" whenever it feed the foods soak with Praziquantel, Maybe it doesn't taste good ?

very common for big angels to shake food when they feed. it's a mechanism to tear the food or make it smaller.

i think something is wrong with my tank

my boxing shrimp is dead, snails are still alive

hopefully is due to ammonia spike and not other unknown cause

will do a 50% water change and let it cycle for a week then test the water parameter
