tench1
Delivery of tank, delayed...Till next week, as there were mistakes made to the cabinet. Lucky i pay a visit, and discovered the mistake. Another sad issue happened...Due to internal sump cabinet limitation, my sump tank was further reduced in size. This had cost me the frag placement partition... Arggh!!! Not only that, my auto top up reservior volume reduced as well... Well, guessed, that this is part of life, giving and taking Still overall glad that i had made the trip down to discuss with the maker. tench1
Thanks bro,i just had an almost backbreaking experience, cleaning the 3 sided tank. A few things to look out for... 1. I have to get a longlong algae scraper. 2. A good step up for me to reach inside. (Ladder too fumsy already) 3. medicated plaster for my aching muscle. tench1
The outlook is fantastic! Well...ny sketch too idealistic...and didn't calculate siome issue like wood space...hence in the way, my sump size become smaller...ate up a lot of my ideal space... Haha but over all , one word, happy! Will upload some pics when my camera is back...
SRC Member onizukaa Posted December 13, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted December 13, 2010 woo hoo bro. Wait for the leak test to be completed before mixing the salt inside. Also do note that the rock will "increase" the volume of the water, mix the water with salt not to the brim and add on water after the rocks are in! nice tank! tench1
Thanks bro! Will note that. Anyway, I will do my scape ltr. Wana help?
tench1
It had been a tough week, handling work in the day...and scaping at night! CO had been very helpful and supportive for the past 3 days. I came to learn that scaping with expoxy arent that easy chore...im filled with admiration for those who really did up beautiful rock scaping! Scaping objective 1. increase the surface area of the sand in contact with water as much as possible 2. Raise and stack the rocks up as high as possible 3. Avoid Rocks placement close to the 3 sided viewing glass After 3 days, finally, some pictures to show...heehee Front View Side Views
tench1
More pictures... my Overflow and Returnflow pipings.. Initial design was a direct straight line pipe from pump to main tank. However, due to space constraint and "wrongly" measurement from tank-maker, this is the result...additional blend was created... Sump FTS Due to space constraint from the sump cabinet doors and pillar supports, my sump size had strunked, eating up my frag corners/Water reservior. But its my fault. No one to blame for that...i had not consider the restriction from interior of Sump cabinet...(Its okay, learnt from mistake...my only consolution...) wilsontantw
Woah. You actually found the pic. Haha. Just to share, a little issue with this scape.. Detritus gets trapped in the middle area. So do ensure decent flow around that area. Quote decommissioned 2.5x2x2 Videos: | | Your mind is like a parachute. It only works when it is open.
