230w LED or 2 x 160w LED

Hi nice folks,

My tank is a 4x2x2 which LED if I wanna keep sps?

Understand both equates to 2x250w MH but single piece 230w is only 3 ft length so each side would have slight low coverage area.

2x160w would give better coverage but means another ballast and higher cost too

Cannot decide.... Any advice experience will be greatly appreciated

i'd go for 180 x 2 or 160 x 2

Law - thanks bro. Only problem is its quite hard to fit 2x230w based on the dimensions of each fixture.

Your 250 w MH will cover about 2 ft of your tank area.

If your tank is 4 ft you require 2 x 250 w MH.

As for LED to get a 250 w MH equivalent you need at least

130 w of led if led is running at 1 A over the same 2 ft

area of your tank.
