anyone care to share how it works? and what are the benifits?and last but not least what size should i get for a 2ft by 1ft tank? thanks!

For small tank, a UV unit will achieve the same effect as ozone and it will be safer to use. It can be dangerous to dose ozone in such a small tank, if you overdose it can be disastrous.

Always something more important than fish.

Ozonizer work in a similar way as a UV, and it has been used for many years in treatment of drinking and waste water mainly for sterilization and purification of water.

Ozone is a very reactive form of oxygen that can destroy an enormous variety of liquid waste materials and toxins, thus in the aquarium environment, ozonizers offer a simple, highly effective method of maintaining a clean and stable environment.

In general, an ozonizer produces ozone which can:

-Destroy disease-causing organisms ( curing / preventation of white spot ect..)

- Raise the pH

- Increase the dissolved oxygen (ORP) in the water

- Increase the efficiency of a protein skimmer

The ozone is best added to the water via a protein skimmer which can deliver it in very fine bubbles.

However, do take note that there is "Pro" and "Cons" toward using a Ozone. More information you can check here;

not sure how true but to my understanding on ozoniser is that it does help to breakdown big particles and improve skimming which help in achieving a clearer water. Do study the proper method of setting up. For MCE600, you can incorporate ozoniser. Hope this help.
