Cleaner shrimp giving birth

Last nite while watching football 3.00am, suddenly all fishes circulating around ( though they also heard the goals.) :upsidedown: :upsidedown: :yahoo: Stay a closer look, all fishes were happly eating live baby shrimps where contributed from one of my cleaner shrimp., What a waste.......

hi guys, my cleaner shrimp also has eggs at the legs area.

but never see baby shrimps before.

guess they are all eaten upon hatching.

was told by a fellow hobbyist, it's free food for fishes.

guess it's the circle of life.

Oh what a waste!

Consider getting another tank for your shrimps? They may breed again and you will have a nice colony of cleaner shrimps.

Raising shrimp nauplii is easier said than done... best course of action for hobbyist is to let nature take it's course - live fish food.

My peppermint produce nauplii where I accidentally found out last week. Not many left though some of them are in the tank overflow compartment while some in sump. Seem that they are growing bigger. Not high hope on the survival. Also, I can't find the mother shrimp maybe eaten up by my sunrise dotty. I just leave them at they are.
