hi sis, how bout 2 rio20 or 1 rio 20 n 1 1264? the power comsumption is so high for rio 32...

Now using 2 rio32 and I think I have eheim 1264 as well. Was going to re-use them mah. :)

Power comsumption for rio32 is slightly lower than OR6500 if I remember correctly. Used to use 2 OR6500. But the ORs are getting a bit wonky with age and need a change of impellers, that's why I change to rio. Cheaper than buying new impeller and can do an immediate change over. :)

imo, I will just stick with 2 1264s. Power consumption is one, but then reliability is another (:

Will mostly likely go with that too. The rios are a bit too noisy for my liking.

Besides this time the return pipes will be straight up to the tank, unlike my current setup where the return has to travel further.

Sis,

This is my son 4.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 tank for your reference. The 0.5 ft is actually the full overflow on the left side of the tank... This might not what you looking for... But it provides good and even flow of water into the sump..

The two return pipes are on opposite side...connected to 2 Eheim 1264 from the sump..

Hope this give you some considerations..

Thanks Bro, for the pics!

As much as I'd love to have a tank similar to yours, I don't think I can go beyond a 4ft tank, cos the tank will be sharing the wall space with the tv.

Too bad my living room doesn't have the depth for me to have a partition tank. Sigh....

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

It's a boy! Yes, 4 Boys :pirate:

This one costs us a 4ft tank setup with mostly highend German equipment!

The nurses said that he has the largest eyes on the floor.

Think he look more like my eldest.
