Not amazing low anyway. Just slightly? Ca for reef salt is 1300-1400+, normal salt would be 1100-1300+. A little more ca and mg won't hurt the fish. It's good for you as you have the buffer to keep snails and shrimps.

The reason why fowl salt is lower in ca and mg is to reduce cost?

My problem is High mg, High ca and low KH...... Think I need to switch off my CR for some time to let them lower by themselves. 5% WC every other day doesn't seems to make much difference. Sianz....

5% does nothing much to reset buffering system. Try to use sodium bicarbonate to increase alkalinity? Better to monitor salinity while doing that.

Fish are not fussy in regards to such parameters. My advise would be to leave the parameters alone. Run the skimmer after cr to remove the excess carbonic acid. May I ask why are you running a cr for fowlr? It is normal for fowlr to have high ca and mg since there's literally nothing to consume them. Alkalinity would be affected by the organic acids. For your case, the alkalinity is also affected greatly by the cr.

I'm not running a fowlr. Just looking for salt that is meant for this sort of tank b'cos they have less mg and ca. My mg and ca are well over 1500 and 500 at the moment, which is the cause of the low KH. So unless I lower these two first, adding more sodium bicarbonate will not make much difference.

You can try tropic marin normal salt, it's rather low in everything. It seems to me that you do not need a cr as your tank's uptake of ca is not high enough and the cr is causing the low alkalinity.

Most people get by with just wc without additives in lightly stocked tank.

I would do a 50% water change for 2 days to reset the parameters and also disconnect the cr if I am facing your situation.

Thanks, Bro!

Can you change the title of my tank? Now it's only 20" in height.

Amended title into inches for you. ;)
