What a big crowd at GO!

Added in the 15 SPS into my tank. Very backbreaking. Probably easier to have a platform ready for the next batch.

Happy with overall quality. Will post some pics this weekend.

15!!! wao thats quite a HUGE leap.. were u the one with a son in school uniform? saw him carrying a HUGE bag out.. haha..

anyway please monitor carefully! 15 is no small number, if anything go amiss, touch wood, they might all decide to brown-out/stn/rtn on you.. they will appear ok for a day or two, but do watch out for signs such as polyps extension etc! good luck!

That's not me.

Figured it would take too long to stock up tank if not bit more aggressive and the photos posted by GO were too tempting.

So far so good. In fact the pink birdnest which looked more white than pink when I first got it (from transport stress I guess) is now looking pink. Polyp extensions are good and noticed growth tips on the yellow formosa. Keeping fingers crossed. Tried taking photo with my G10 but can't get it right yet...

Guess needs another 10 to fill up the landscape.

Btw, added a royal gramma and tail spot blenny. Compliments to m3morph! Fishes doing very well. Active and eating from following day. Looking forward to my anthias and tangs.

by the way, where you staying? Is it N***O as the layout looks like my old living room... LOL

Yes we were ex-neighbours! From the swimming pool, I saw a unit with a tank in Blk 21 on abt 7-10 floor. Don't tell me that was your unit.

Hi Reefers,

The latest TOTM on RC is a true inspiration. Check it out!

Like the super-sized and richly coloured sps and gorgeous angels

Keen to have a SPS and Angels tank too. Could you share your experience?

Jetski, i think you should have some caves etc and stack your rocks higher. The SPS can get more light also.

Interesting suggestion thanks. Will look out for easy to add rocks and think centre area space can be built higher a bit more. Not sure would actually get down to it though as that's a lot of work!

Caves wise there are actually plenty now. Maybe not showing well in the photo.

looking good.. good length and height.. but like Ketchup said, can utilize more of the on-top space for more light-loving SPSes..

HMMMMM, I think I will go against it.

Let your spses grow up and get used to the lights k!

probably you might want to look into Zeovit or Ultralith system in the near future to increase your water clarity so that you can keep your light-loving sps at the mid level? (:

Ya agreed. Snowman scaping reminds me of chingchai's tank. Tall pillars with free space in-between. Very very nice!

Guess I will have to get my sps to grow fast! Btw do not think lighting is an issue as the 4x250W MH are STRONG. Currently not even at full power as ballast I ordered not in yet.

I am planning to have big Angels (yes can coexist with sps) and maybe they would enjoy the ample swimming Space.

Anyway bro, when can see your tank in person? hehe :D

Jetski, my view is this. As it is, i think your scaping is too close, whereby there's not much space in between rocks. This i feel is not so ideal for fishes, especially since you seems to like big fishes as they need some space to swim through and hide/sleep. Hence, I still think creating a couple of caves/crevices for fishes to swim through will be better.

I also suggest you increase the height as now, you have plenty of space up top. I doubt your SPS will grew so fast till it rest the top. If it does, likelihood is you will already frag it as it will be way too big :) If you wish, can put some fast growing SPS like birdnest etc on top.

4X250MH is alot of light:) But if your SPS is nearer to surface, you can prob reduce the MH photoperiod and save some $$. Also, the chiller will kick in less often. Looking at your setup, i think it will kick in a lot as the whole tank is enclosed.

Hi Desideria, Could I introduce you to my wife for you to share the wonders of this hobby... from a woman's perspective. (Where did you find this woman, Ketchup)

Actually there are quite a few 20-30cm caves and most of the lower section are open space. As the tank is 2m long, things look smaller than they are actually are on the photo. Personal preference is to have plenty of open space for swimming fishes and SPS to grow for the next 2-3 years. That said, would think carefully about how to create more and bigger caves without wholesale rescaping. Welcome your comments and in fact I made some adjustments to my original cabinet design based on feedback from RC.

Ketchup, you would remember the glass panel in the dining room of N***O. I had it removed so there's a 100m by 30cm outlet now for ventillation. There's also a KDK fan so the overall interior of the cabinet is quite cool i.e. 1000W MH has not converted cabinet into an oven.

Thanks for all the feedback. Thinking of organising an open house to get to know all you Reef friends. Useful to trade tips (and frags in future)

Timing wise would be Apr/May as baby coming tomorrow! Would be performing diaper changing duties in hospital by this time tomorrow.

Tank should also be more presentable and interesting by then...hopefully.

Cheers
