any comment on using cheap light bulb compare to those from reputable brand leads to unwanted grow of algae?

IMO, cheap light bulb can assume that is degrade faster than those reputable hence the light spectrum shift more drastic and lead more easily to unwanted algae if your tank condition is off by abit.
