phangster
Hi guys, I just added 2 sexy shrimp into my tank but was told by a fellow reefer that it is not advisable to do so as they may eat corals... I have Zoa, Sun coral, Bubble, Octopus and a hammer in my tank... Do i have to remove it? thanks!!
SRC Member onizukaa Posted June 22, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted June 22, 2010 from google: Are sexies reef safe? YES! But, if they are not kept well fed, there is a big chance that they will munch on your corals. Some people don't have trouble with this at all, but I personally have to feed mine at least once a day, or else they start binging on zoa skirts. Senior Reefer yikai Posted June 22, 2010 Senior Reefer Share Posted June 22, 2010 sexy shrimps don't eat corals as far as i know... they are commensals.. they live near or with corals. don't need to worry about small things like this. as long as you feed your tank and fishes, your shrimps will get a share of food.
