Make no sense. Mine is not against the wall and have 3 pumps running in the sump. I suspect the "base" of your cabinet is hollow, which is amplifying the sound.

Edit: I just realized you pump is humongous.... lol.... is it heavy?

Yeh.. It is quiet heavy, I think so.. But arent all cabinet base is hollow?

There is usually some braces. Anyway, I do not think its possible to move the pump.....

Let's think harder.... having some liquid below might be able to damp the vibrations... any ideas?

BFG had got me thinking. You mean you do not have a foam under your sump tank? Or I am the only one to put a foam under sump tank? biggrin.gif

Should have foam underneath the sump, this should be the norm.

Mine has a foam below... I only on my pump others are not on at all..

Is it becos my cabinet is not against the wall so the noise is escaping from there? I will push the cabinet against the wall and bring the sump a bit out by next week.. Hope it works...

No! What I meant was that your sump might be too close to the cabinet wall, that's why it is amplifying the vibration noise. The cabinet distance to the wall should have no effect on creating the noise.

I have just realised something, is 1 of your pump touching the sump glass? That could be the problem.

From your picture, the vibration might be connected by the PVC pipes? Have your tried to hold the PVC tight with you hands?

That is why, i will try to move the sump out a bit... now too near to the cabinet wall.. It is but the is not vibrating from there...

Yes, the pipe is vibrating but it stop when it reaches the valve...
