Want to add fish

Recommended Posts

My current list of fish on my 2.5':

2 - true percula clown (1.5" n 2")

1 - meleagris leopard wrasse (~3.5")

1 - six line (2" - tamed by leopard wrasse)

1 - cardinal (2")

Planning to add another 1 fish. Please recommend which one will go along with what I have. My preference are:

Yellow Tang

Purple Tang

Flame Angel

Blue Tang

any other

I will also add 1 tail-spot blenny once ML shipment arrives.

Yellow Tang (go for small ones. they grow very quickly so a small 1 is suitable. besides your tank isn't very big so a small one would be best)

Purple Tang (same for yellow tang, but do note they can get very fierce once established)

Flame Angel (the best choice amongst all your 4. stay relatively small, slow grower, mildly aggressive and won't outgrow your tank unlike the other tangs)

Blue Tang (super fast grower. i would suggest getting 2 inch and smaller ones to start with)

any other (for a tank this size, dwarf angels make a good choice if you're looking for medium sized fish. do play around with your choice as there are plenty of dwarf angels to choose from. bear in mind that their reef safeness is something to be cautious about. all are reef safe to a certain extend, including your flame angel. it's a hit or miss)

I will also add 1 tail-spot blenny once ML shipment arrives.

thanks for the input. I will go for Flame angel and/or yellow tang. I hope can squeeze in time to go LCK tomorrow.

I got an african flameback instead from LCK. It is being harrased by the 6 line and leopard wrasse since the release. They don't allow it to go near the live rocks.

Any advice to lessen the aggression. Now worried to add blenny.
