Wall Mount Tank

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, need a lot advice.....

I was given a 5 ft wall mount fish tank as a house warming gift, great gift indeed, however, I'm facing with some problem after 2 weeks..... Seeing algae starts to build up, marine fish are still healthy. This tank is from Atlantis and heard that this "wonderful" tank needs only minimum maintenace, how could it be true??? Anyone bro has experience with Atlantis? Basically I just wanna to keep some marine fishes, not even corals.....

Thanks in advance.

Hi Pingster, welcome to the forum!

As far as I understand, it is quite a challenge to maintain a wall mounted tank due to the limited space for quality equipment. A fellow reefer, Mitlancer has experienced both nightmares and success with a 4ft Atlantis tank. I think he has done extensive mods and it seems to be doing well today, after 4 or 5 years.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate.

And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

mods can be done to the tank but i think it will be quite limited due to space constrains..

still your plans to keep fish only is a good idea but you have to limit yourself to relatively smaller fishes..

It will be interesting to see a wall mounted tank covered with zoas or GSP on the back wall. I think its just as nice if done properly. ^_^

This seems like the wrong forum to post this though...

I did part of my back wall with GSP... :) after 3 months, portion start to drop off, think I never super glue properly, also, there are many white tube worms growing on my GSP until they cannot fully encrust to the back wall.... :(
