Salt mix (which brand of salt?)

Every supplier is saying their salt is a better one.

Need help in this topic. Fellow reefers pls help!

1)Aqua Medic reef salt.

2)Tropic Marine reef salt.

3)D&D reef salt.

4)Instant Ocean reef salt.

5)Kent Marine

6)Seachem

7)Marine Environment.

For me am using D&D and it's high MG, but KH abit low nia, worth every penny. go for D&D salt~

I'm a strong supporter of D-D salt too. good parameters and no residual left after mixing.

Tropic Marine is pretty good too, but you have to take note of the CA & Mag levels. I read somewhere that they will be releasing a new salt, so you can consider waiting for reviews.

They are offering e salt 25kg only at $133.

Heard that e salt parameter is very similar to Tropic Marin

The new REDSEA Pro salt is having quite a good review oversea as well. But i think it has not been landed in our shore yet.

i am using redsea coral pro.. very low in Mg ....

I am using NeoMarine salt from Brightwell... It is claimed to have parameter similar to NSW... But I haven got any testkit yet... Will get them tml and do a test of the parameters..

Yup Marine Environment has lots of residue. I'm considering changing to D-D.

This is normal. Some substance in the mix take a bit of time to dissolve.

I am using the redsea coral pro bundled with my RSM. i mixed with the given instructions (1kg - 30l), but my mg test reads 800-900 only. I did the test for every water change... i think 3-4 times already.

Did you mix it in a separate container and test it? I couldn't help as I didn't purchase the Mg test kit too

For the first time, i did a 30% wc, i had to use separate containers , and i test it separately. Subsequently, i did 10% wc, i use a single container...i did not get 1300 from all the tests... i left it overnight with a pump running...
