Pls ID this

Hi all pls help to ID this

Ya... Type of Alpheid Shrimps, some call snapping shrimp or pistol shrimp.

oh ok but how it come about from algea scrubber :ooh:

Where as all my rocks been with me almost 2yrs, with only Saltmix was use???

moreover all go by filter wool (3 layers)

oh ya did mix with dead rocks as well......

by the way does it do any harm to LS (coral & fishes)

Not uncommon 4 this fella to enter the tank as a tiny juv along with ur new rocks. Unless u boil the rocks (stupid suggestion)... When it reaches a certain size u can hear its snapping claws especially at night. It will even reproduce like its freshwater cousin from Australia.

Harmless far s my tank goes.

I have coralrx them out of farm purchased zoas colonies before....

but he thing is it only 12mm long now the only rock i last add was dry dead rock??

with all my LR which is with me almost 2yrs

however saw it last wk still a pods like creature now turn into a shrimp

will update it again if another pods turn into shrimp ha ha
