Can you explain more.... "Hot in front" ? 1. Are you referring to your compressor pump? 2. How long is the kick-in time and how often? 3. Is your fan moving? Thanks. SRC Member oceanviper Posted June 7, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted June 7, 2010 hi bro. i am new to this thing so i not sure the above mentioned. haha.. sorry thats why need someone to check Hi bro... If the chiller is running, few things you can check: a. The wind blowing out from the rear should be warm. b. The bowl in front (when you remove the front cover) should be warm or slightly hot when is running. c. The fan should be creating some sound when it spinning. Just check out on this 1st ..... Guest
it is normal for your room to feel hot if your chiller is runing for too long esp if you are using a under size chiller with a overheat tank (i.e heat from MH, pump ect..) How old is your chiller ? If it continue to be able to chill your water, most likely you will just need a servicing / cleaning of your compressor to make it work better. If you need help on chiller repair you can contact nelson from Chilll down @ 9799 3955. HTH

Hi bro.... sry for the late reply. this is what I have gathered. the front is warm, there is no wind coming out from the rear. --> For resun model, there should be wind at the rear because the design is using fan located at the front suck and blow out from the back... the fan sound can be heard. heard arh. --> You can use a single tissue paper, place in front, see whether it will stick at the front air inlet. --> if the tissue not stick, meaning your fan is not strong enough or the front filter too dirty block by dust. why is the meter showing 35 degrees? haha. the chiller about 1 year + . --> is this a real temperature measure from your tank? --> can confirm using external thermometer? --> if at 35deg, is a big issue.... --> does this reading drop when the chiller kicks in?
