Powder form Additive

what should be the proper way to add additive in powder form? mix with some tank water before adding or mix with DI water?

few day away when i was preparing WC. added some KH powder in the WC pail after salt mix was prepared. in tend to change water today.

to my surprise this morning, there were alot of powder settling at the bottom. seem like the KH is too high in the WC pail that some Ca drop out.

please correct me if i am wrong. cause i remember reading up some where that there is a balance between KH and Ca.

u should add it to DI water n slowly drip into ur tank water...
