SRC Member oceanviper Posted June 4, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted June 4, 2010 Hi bro..... Recently done quite a fair bit of frequent ( once every 2 days - 1 full blue jelly can (20l) ) due to ich infested on my fish. It didn't happened in the past, where the skimmer discharge more dilute after the water changed now whenever water changed.... Any idea what could be the reason? And at the same time, this phenomenon is destroying my SPS.... Anyone encountered this before? Thanks. SRC Member DUCADOS Posted June 4, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted June 4, 2010 U mean skimmer discharge dilute water instead of those more black wan izzit? Possible reason maybe Water change Liao hence lesser thing to skim. That's y like that. Another possibility maybe water level too high hence before it can come out with concentrated liquid it come out most of the sea water... Possible reason maybe Water change Liao hence lesser thing to skim. That's y like that. Another possibility maybe water level too high hence before it can come out with concentrated liquid it come out most of the sea water... If that could be the reason, then i'm alright, just need to get my pail ready due to extra dilute liqiud collected in my skimmer instead of "kopi-O" concentrate. But why would this frequent water change affects my SPS? Shouldn't frequent water change helps the SPS instead? samfsl
i know too little about corals but supposedly corals are more demanding and sensitive to water quality than fishes. Could the water changes be too much, too soon, leading to sudden fluctuations in water quality, even though it may be for the better, please correct me if i am wrong, thanks
