Good enough for picos la, as long as there's sufficient water circulation.

ohhhh haha... will be getting a Hydor Koralia Nano Wavemaker to circulate the tank though^^

T5 is sufficient for most 2ft set-up unless you intend to have sps dominated tank.

Oh 1 feet height......

I think you are all set :)

you are getting the aquazonic T5 right? make sure you get a white tube and a blue tube hor.

if you do not mind the lightset protruding on both end, then getting a 2 feet T5 will be better.

Gouldian.. any experience with 1ft/ 1.5 ft T5s?

I have the impression that the light is quite week even for LPS.

2 feet ones are ok.

how to tell if the flow is enough a not ar?

agar agar... you want the water to be circulating well in the tank so that there are no dead spot.

can look up from the under side of the water surface too... make sure there is no oily film stagnant in a corner.

when you do your rock scape, try to have "holes/ caves" for good circulation.

Have minimum rocks in contact with the sand bed.

Make sure rocks are touching the tank base and not just the surface of the sand....

cause if not, later when you siphon the sand, the scape will collapse.

some corals like higher flow and some like lower flow... do take note and position them according to their preference.

some corals are more light demanding and some are not, those that are, place them higher on the rockscape.

Last but not least... time to start your tank thread!
