I just find them quite nice and hope they survive in my tank.

personally, I prefer regular clowns than the high end platinum clowns and so forth with too weird misbars.

Grade A picassos are nice though.

Did you switch off the pumps, wave makers and even fans when you took the photo of the Octo? These steps will help somewhat.

Nice photos of your princess! I'll take note of this lens when I get a DSLR. This sharp front image, blurry background must be a much sought after effect. Some of my friends asked me about this effect the first thing they saw my camera.

i did off the MP10 but not my chiller return.

cause I am worried that I might forget switching it on back.

anyway I took 2 hrs + to play with the lens..

did not want to switch off my chiller for so long.

I forgot to bring my external flash that day hence there were some shadow cast over the face...

Had to react quick, she refuses to post, i had to talk, play with her and snap at the same time....

Sounds like my goniopora.. Suddenly closed for 2 days. Thought my parameter go haywire, but that 2 day was pack no chance to get any new nsw. Fortunately it opened after 2 days of rest without me doing anything. Hope ur situation is like mine:)

seems like you might be right whq.

it has opened slightly more but nowhere near the 2.5 inch length. Prob only 1 ccm.

Hopefully tml will be better.

just another update:

went RB & GO with a band of brothers (Mossrope, Karlyau, AhSiang) today....

Livestock that I noticed that were quite nice were:

- black ocellaris

- mini yellowhead jawfish.... soooooo cute....m only about 1 inch - 1.5 inch.

and they had the neon goby that I wanted. Grabbed one.

There's not much fishes there btw, incase if you are thinking of going there.

I went to read up on Onyx.. yeah......

Those that have black patches that links the 3 white strips are called black Onyx clowns.

so the female one that I have is one.

but the male one is linked on one side but not the other.

I am wondering if the black patch will expand as time goes by.

This clown is really nice as there is a good black patch, the fins tail + head = orange , the stripes are pure white....

tri colour that makes it really outstanding!

btw, I bought a 50mm f/1.8 lens last week.

for parents with canon DSLR, really suggest you grab this portrait lens... around 130 only....

I am a camera noob but I manage to take some decent photos for my princess.

The depth of field is amazing...

if you can afford, then go for f/1.4 which cost $500+

F1.8 is good enough la... unless you are professional, no need to go for f1.4 as it will be heavy and cumbersome.
