correct me if i am wrong

white is the best for coral

blue is for coral and viewing

actinic is purely for viewing pleasure

my 4 tube setting: 2 x aquablue special, 1 x blue plus, 1 x actinic

if i have 6: 3 x aquablue special, 2 x blue plus, 1 x actinic(viewing)

use to have purple tube, not much use imo

and yes i am an ATI fan

cheers

hope i get to change my tubes soon.

you seen my old tubes which were pretty white based

for sps tube x6 - 2white 2 blueplus 1white/pink/blueplus 1 purple

i am pretty critical on par for sps as its a swap for MH

for lps and softies - blue and white will do unless you wish to enhance viewing pleasure, but 4 tubes is enough usually.

actinics have very low par ratings... as above mentioned its pretty much viewing purposes mainly.

Brown SPS > Kinder Surprise

White SPS = Kinder Surprise after expiry date

Assumption killed the dinosaurs, they didnt have test kits.

I'll be trying out the following combo:

ATI Blue+

UVL Indigo Sun

ATI Blue+

ATI Blue+

UVL Indigo Sun

ATI Blue+

Front glass

UVL Indigo Sun has a slight pinkish tint to it, so it produces a "warmer" colour, and not so wash out like ATI Aquablue Special. Still considering if I should swap out one Blue+ for a Fiji Purple.

never seen this indigo sun before.. hope can see the colours one day.

many people have misconceptions towards purple tubes generally because they have pretty low par rating and behave like actinics but if you can get your hands on KZ fiji purple, its a whole new different story.

i will surely add one when i get my hands on one, peacemaker
