Hi guys, I came across this product today at a local fish shop.

The Dymax IQ3.

It is a nano tank with a mini ios system, complete with a return pump, sponge and led lights.

Not too sure what is the exact volume, but sldn't exceed 20 litres. Its perfect to be placed in the room, on the table, in the washroom etc.

Personally I will be using it to house frogfish.

Here are the pics:

Just to add, what I like most about this nano tank is that it is made of acrylic!!

Already pre-ordered two sets of this toy, arriving next monday. Will post further pics and give more reviews on it.

Not too sure what is the exact volume, but sldn't exceed 20 litres.

This product had been around since Aquarama 2009 (one year ago). Water volume is around 9 liters. Due to this, housing anything larger than Trimmas and Eviotas could actually be claustrophobic and stressful to the livestock.

I see. If that's the case, perhaps i will make it into a shrimp tank. One tank for fire, cleaner, sexy shrimps. The other for a couple of small gobies.

We can have the marine equivalent of a CRS tank too.

And the marine version will be more "attractive" than CRS.

Guess.....

"Sexy" shrimp tank. :eyebrow::thumbsup:

Havin one in my office, as a pico, only keep zoas, mushies and GSP. LS only 2 sexy shrimps. But u need to add blue leds if keeping zoas, mushies.... the LED that comes with it may not be sufficient.

Just take note of the water level.. because its small and very small amt of overflow water level to play with, it goes dry pretty fast.. Without knowing, the pump would be running dry and therefore no water flow..

For mine, it was used only ~2 months. Was ok for a month or 2. Then the pump eventually generated a lot of heat.. I mean alot for a small pump. I didn't measure but I can feel the warm sides and from the water. "cooked" everything inside. Then finally the pump died :( .

Now I'm looking for a replacement pump small enough but hopefully more powerful. Any recommendations? No more Dymax pumps please..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?
