Recently, a tropical fish importer brought in small moon jelly fish into Singapore for sale at various fish retail shops. Both the AVA as well as the importer have claimed that the jelly fish, which are about the size of a ping pong ball, are harmless. Is this really true? How safe is it for children to play with them? Will they become a hazard when they grow larger? Will they harm the environment if the owners decide to release them into public water? Frontline reports.
