SRC Member comycus Posted May 13, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted May 13, 2010 If fishes are feeding and still swimming healthily no need to worry. Best is not to add any fishes for the next few weeks to let the fishes stabilise. I'm currently facing another round of ich after stressing my fishes tremendously when I was modifying my tank. PBT's having v. bad bout of white spots. But still swimming happily and feeding ferociously. Just make sure to maintain water quality and monitor for deterioration signs. White spots have subsided quite alot over the last 2-3 days. But best is not to introduce new fishes in the next few weeks to let my fishes stabilise. SRC Member onizukaa Posted May 13, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted May 13, 2010 i would recommend like what the two helpful bro above mentioned. 1) Running UV does help for my case in reducing white spots. 2) Do not intro any fishes currently and do not dip your fishes into FW curretnly as it might stress them further. continue to feed them as per norm. if possible dont add any fishes for 1 month and do water changes religiously. if no corals can lower your salinity to around 1.019 SLOWLY this is what i can suggest and hope it helps bro. all the best
FuEl
Check your ammonia. Probably ammonia spike if you have been adding a lot of fish. Quote Always something more important than fish. http://reefbuilders.com/2012/03/08/sps-pico-reef/
SRC Member babareef Posted May 13, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted May 13, 2010 Bro try Waterlife Octozin. No side effects on the corals. First lower your sg level slowly till u reached 0.017 then add half a dose of Octozin for two or three days. This is followed by water change and a full dose of Octozin. Make sure u follow the instructions and calculation carefully to prevent overdose. Keep your sg level the same for about six weeks. Hopefully this works for u cos it does for me and honestly I'm not a pro but just sharing my input cos I know how it feels to lose so many beautiful fishes. Good luck. One question....will cleaner wrasse helps which I have all of them MIA after intro some time.... Thanks. I would suggest not to buy anymore cleaner wrasses. They do not ship well or adapt well to the home aquarium. Since they are still feeding and swimming actively, I don't see any reason to panic. SRC Member Underwater Posted May 14, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted May 14, 2010 The misconception is that cleaner wrasses eat white spots...the fact is that they don't. They get white spots themselves.

Try not to stress out your fishes else the white spots would be worst.. try feeding them with garlic juice as well... it WILL NOT prevent ich but helps to improve the health of the fishes..
