H&S skimmer

Just bought a H&S skimmer from a reefer here. Just wanna check with guys here how do we tell as I check around the product itself,it doesn't state the brand there.

Quite a good product. I have been using for many years and every few days need to clean the cup. Do let me know if you want to tune the skimmer to get the best out of the skimmer.

Btw, how to identify the skimmer or tell it's a H&S? No indication no nothing.

Yes, they do not have any labels or whatsoever. But the skimmer performance is well known around the reefing community.

Icic... So it's like can only tell via looking at the design,shape so tell that it's a H&S?

So about the tuning thing how?

The built is solid. Grey seems to be the trademark. Check the seal, thick grey sillicon used. Can always go sealife to see. Doubt imitation will go to that quality. Tuning wise, the air valve and the turnable tube above the water outlet to adjust wet or dry. If yrs insump, water level does affect the performance.

Hi,mine's a insump. So wat I do to the air tube?(the 1 fitted on the pump wan right)

as for the turnable tube u mean the PVC pipe right?

Now I understand y water level will affect performance of skimmer when it's a insump.

And also understand y people always place skimmer in compartment before return pump.

Comparing H&S n Deltec which is better?

Not to mention which is more branded or expensive.

If solely comparing in term of performance only,on the same grade or catagories skimmer.
