SRC Member Tanzy Posted December 19, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 19, 2003 Don't bother. Kalkwasser or calcium hydroxide solution is self-purifying because of the high pH and high concentration of hydroxide ions will cause a lot of ions to be precipitated. Only calcium, sodium, potassium, hydroxides, nitrates, chlorides and bicarbonates will remain in solution. Quote Warning: Heavy handed moderator in operation. SRC Member pospeh Posted December 24, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 24, 2003 If you are extra careful, can consider a RO/DI unit to purify the water first. but it is really not necessary.
